My wife was given a dual Kanji/English keyboard laptop from her father that lives in JAPAN. It was loaded full of viruses and crap, so, I repartitioned and reformatted it with the ENGLISH Windows XP. I also downloaded Asian support, but, she can only type in English no matter the mode she switches to. It displays Kanji, but cannot type it. Can I fix this somehow in a quick download or fix without anything major????
I`m planning on buying a new laptop, problem is that I live in Japan and all the computers here are set in Japanese. The one I want to buy has Windows Vista SP 1 and I wanted to know if there was a way to change it to English. I have been told that there was but not how. Do I have to download an additional program or is it already in there and I just have to find it?

I recently bought an import CD from Japan. I love this CD and would like to burn it to my computer, but my laptop won’t see it when its in the disk drive. Any idea why this is or how I can fix it?

my laptop is really old from 2003, so I wanted to buy a fujitsu lifebook which are made in japan and have good quality unlike other laptops that are chinese made, but my dad says that computers will become really advanced now because of globalization, what do you think, should I get one or wait for when they become more advanced.

I use my wife`s laptop from Japan: Windows xp (pcg-Fr55G/B).
The website are in English and Im able to type in English but all of the control commands and computer warning system pop-ups are in Japanese.
Ex. Control Panel, Internet Options, Regional Settings,User accounts.
Ex.Control commands at the top of every internet page.
i.e.F(file),E,V(view),A,T,H
*I changed the display language and the Regional language to English but that doesn`t work.
Is there only way one change the control command language? Reset my computer with “System Restore” then download an
English xp version.

I am going to buy a laptop this week. I do not currently have a computer at my home at all. I will be using it to pay bills and keep up with money, burn cds and dvds, store my pics from my digital camara, put stuff on my ipod, surf the internet, email, talk to my best friend in japan, and I need a good bit of memory so I can finish writing my book. I would like it to be wireless and high speed. What brands are the best? the worst?
I want to buy the Bleach: Fade to Black Orginal soudtrack from www.play-asia.com but its a Japanese audio cd. I want to make sure I can play it on my laptop before I waste my money.
