I bought a Gateway laptop 1 1/2 years ago & have had nothing but problems with it. I’ve had to do 4 system restores because it either gets a virus or it crashes. Even after doing what the tech support told me to do, it still runs like crap. I did research last year and asked friends. The sales person even recommended it. Therefore, I do not want to purchase another lemon. I have been doing research online and I keep finding people’s opinions on what is the best. I am looking for a computer that will suit my needs. I am an Internet junkie. I live in Japan and I download American TV shows. I also use the Internet for research. I make many worksheets & PowerPoint presentations for my work. I also do a lot of photo editing & video production. In short, I need a computer that can handle multiple applications running at the same time, & not run like a snail. I also need one that will not get viruses & has excellent tech support. I am trying to stay under $1,000. Dell, HP, Sony, or MAC?

I prefer HP Pavilion, but it depend on you.
Mac Pro definitely. It runs great and doesn’t get viruses. The tech support is superb. It has a lot of multimedia stuff. I know its a bit pricey but its totally worth it. Oh yeah don’t forget to buy Microsoft Office for Mac seperately.
